The research project is focused precisely on the exploration of different combinations of phase-change composites (PCCs), which includes; experimental testing of the thermal properties of PCCs, cyclic testing of PCCs, and ultimately, the application of the newly proposed PCCs for passive cooling of silicon photovoltaic panels in order to improve their performance (efficiency) and durability. When making phase-change composites, combinations with different waste materials would be considered, which is important in view of the circular economy. A special benefit of the research refers to the possible impact of the planned scientific contributions, considering the wide possible applications of PCCs in various energy technologies and technical applications in general.
